SPECIAL INTEREST GROUPS (SIG)

Research related to elderly and not limited to arthritis, cardiovascular health (including stroke), rehabilitation, gout and cognitive function.
The focus of this SIG is to tackle current issues in community related to metabolic health such as hypertension, metabolic syndrome, obesity, cancers and cardiovascular diseases.

Current research areas are identification of CHD risk factors among Malaysian population, digestive health, new diagnostic tools and underlying molecular mechanisms related to metabolic health.
The focus of this SIG is on rehabilatation process for all stages of life and conditions, i.e children, youth, adults, geriatric, patients and palliative care.

Current research areas are development of rehabilitation module for CVD survivors and special needs children.
